RISING LANE, BADDESLEY CLINTON – this road closure has been suspended

The following road closure has been suspended. A new date will be advised as soon as possible.

 

Rising Lane, Baddesley Clinton closed to vehicular traffic between the junctions of Birmingham Road and Netherwood Lane. Drainage works, weekdays only 0930-1530hrs.

15 May 2025 for up to 18 months or until works are completed, whichever is sooner.

Access & Diversion: An alternative route will be signed and is available via: A4141, Five Ways Road, Old Warwick Road, Station Lane, Rising Lane and vice versa. Non-HGV traffic only for access to Haywood Lane: A41410, Five Ways Road, Case Lane, Fletchers Lane, Quarry Lane, Rowington Green, Old Warwick Road, Station Lane, Rising Lane and vice versa.

Vehicular access & egress will be maintained where possible.

RISING LANE, BADDESLEY CLINTON – closed to vehicular traffic

Rising Lane will be closed between the junctions of Birmingham Road and Netherwood Lane from 15 May 2025 to 20th May or up to 18 months or until works are completed, whichever is sooner.

This is for drainage works and will be weekdays only from 0930-1530hrs.

Access & Diversion: An alternative route will be signed and is available via: A4141, Five Ways Road, Old Warwick Road, Station Lane, Rising Lane and vice versa. BAKERS LANE – Temporary Road Closure – 30th April and 1st May – Surface Dressing

There will be a temporary closure of Bakers Lane for Surface Dressing from Wednesday 30th April to Thursday 1st May.

M40/M42 Safety Barrier Repairs

There will be upcoming maintenance work on the M40 and M42.

National Highways will be carrying out essential maintenance work to the safety barriers on the M40 between Junction 15 and the M42 Junction 3a interchange. They will also work on the M42 between junction 3a and junction 3.

They’ll work overnight from 28 April 2025, between 8pm and 6am, Monday to Friday. The work is expected to complete by Autumn 2025.

The majority of the work will be carried out under lane closures. However, due to the nature of the work, there will be times when they will need to close the exit and entry slips, and also the link roads between the M40 and M42. During closures, they will install fully signed diversions to the next junction and back.

Traffic Management

To carry out the work safely, they will work under a combination of lane closures and full carriageway closures as listed below. Please plan ahead and allow additional time for your journey.

  •  13th May – 16th May 2025 Total closure of M40 Junction 16 exit & access slip M40 Northbound
  • 28th May – 4th June 2025 Total closure of Junction 15 Access & Exit Slip M40 Southbound
  • 5th June – 12th June 2025 Total closure of Junction 15 access & Exit slip M40 northbound
  • 24th June – 10th July 2025 Total closure of Junction 16 access slip closed M40 northbound
  • 11th July – 18th July 2025 Total closure of M42 Junction 3 exit slip westbound
  • 21st July – 30th July 2025 Total closure of M42 Junction 3 exit & access slip eastbound
  • 31st July – 1st August & 14th August 2025 Total closure of the M42 westbound link from M42 southbound at Junction 3a
  • 15th August – 21st August 2025 Total closure of M40 southbound link from M42 southbound at Junction 3a
  • 22nd August – 9th September 2025 Total closure of M40 Junction 16 northbound access slip
  • 10th September – 12th September 2025 Total closure of M42 junction 3a northbound link from M40 northbound

MILL LANE is closed for 5 days from 07/04/2025 – 11/04/2025

Warwickshire County Council give notice of Intention to Process an immediate closure for Severn Trent Water on Mill Lane, Lapworth  is closed from 07/04/2025 – 11/04/2025 to enable urgent repair to small main collar.

Access & Diversion:

An alternative route is available via Old Warwick Road, Packwood Lane, Rising Lane, Mill Lane and vice versa.

M42 Junction 3a between M42 Northbound and M40 Southbound – total closure between 9pm and 6am on Thursday 10th April, 2025

National Highways will be carrying out essential resurfacing work on the M42 junction 3a link road between M42 northbound and M40 southbound. The work will be overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Thursday 10 April, 2025. There will be a total closure of M42 junction 3a between M42 northbound and M40 southbound.

During the closure, the following fully signed diversion route will be operational:

 

A3400 STRATFORD ROAD, HOCKLEY HEATH – temporary closure from 10th to 15th April, 2025 (Night-Time Closure)

The A3400 Stratford Road, Hockley Heath will be closed to vehicular traffic between the M40 junction 16 roundabout and Nuthurst Grange Road from 10th to 15th April 2025 (2000-0600hrs).

This closure is required to enable carriageway resurfacing and associated works to be carried out.

MILL LANE – closure from 16th to 19th April, 2025

There is an immediate closure on Mill Lane, Lapworth and it will be closed from 16th to the 19th April, 2025.

This is to enable works for Severn Trent Water to carry out urgent repairs to burst water main.

Access & Diversion:

An alternative route is available via Old Warwick Road, Packwood Lane, Rising Lane, Mill Lane and vice versa.

BAKERS LANE – closure on 1st April, 2025

Bakers Lane will be closed to traffic on 1st April 2025 to safely enable works to renew pole in verge.

Access & Diversion:

An alternative route will be signed and is available via: Bakers Lane, Chapel Lane, Chessetts Wood Road, Darley Green Road and vice versa.

Vehicular access & egress will be maintained where possible.
