Lapworth Station Bug Hotel
You may have noticed the tremendous work done in the cleaning up of land next to Platform 2 at Lapworth Station and a new addition to the village there.
Friends of Lapworth Station has teamed up with Sarah Davison at The Heart of England Community Rail Partnership, Network Rail Central Route, E H Smith Builders Merchants and Lapworth Primary School to deliver a new Bug Hotel.
The Hotel is the first to be delivered as part of a new ‘Wild Rails’ initiative, which aims to boost biodiversity and support school environmental education.
A big thank you to the Friends of Lapworth Station who have certainly put the hours in clearing the rubbish and much of the bramble and to pupils and staff Lapworth Primary School for their help and enthusiasm!
The Lapworth Bug Hotel has already been featured by a few magazine and platforms.
