Closure of Village Hall Playground for Repairs – additional

Unfortunately, the Playground at Lapworth Village Hall remains closed for repair work as it is taking longer for the contractors to complete the work than first anticipated. During the process of lifting the old rubber matting, they have discovered that the work is more extensive than originally planned.

As mentioned in a previous post, the work is mostly safety and general repairs to the play area surfaces and include: lifting and removing all grass matting, levelling areas with new topsoil and compacting, adding grass seed, laying new grass matting and reinstating the playground apparatus.

For safety reasons, we hope that you will understand that the public will not be allowed to use the Playground during the times when it is being worked on. We will supply updates on the opening times on here and apologise for any inconvenience.
